Expert in Ayurveda Beauty Therapy
The four-month study module "AyurBeauty Expert - Expert in Ayurveda Beauty Therapy" is being launched in collaboration with the School of Ayurveda by the international organization Professional European Ayurvedic Center of Excellence (PEACE) www.ayureurope.com.
The study module spans 4 months and consists of:
More than 40 hours of video recordings led by Ayurvedic doctors, which include PDF presentations of educational texts translated into Slovak. Educational texts are created according to Indian Ayurveda teaching standards, just as Ayurveda is taught at universities in India. The texts were compiled by renowned doctors from the academic and clinical community.
Students can listen to video lectures anytime in English or with Slovak dubbing on the Ayurportal study platform.
Over 42 hours of practical workshops according to the schedule, where students will learn practical beauty therapies under the guidance of professionally trained assistants Ing., Mgr. Hroncová Silvia and Ing. Kniežová Lucia.
Students can download English-Slovak PDF presentations for their needs from the Ayurportal study platform.
Comprehensive scripts in the Slovak language will be provided to students at the beginning of the course.
WHO CONDUCTED THE COURSE?
The course was compiled by Ayurvedic doctors Dr. Gaurang Joshi and Prof. Dr. Bhavna Joshi MD. Dr. Gaurang Joshi is the president of the International Psoriasis Foundation, director of the Atharva Ayurvedic Hospital and Cancer Research Center, Center for Panchakarma and Treatment of Skin Diseases in Rajkot, Gujarat, India.
Dr. Gaurang Joshi is the vice president of the International Cancer Treatment Foundation, a member of the faculty of the International Academy of Ayurveda for Overseas, and editor of several professional medical journals in the USA. More about Dr. Joshi can be found at www.drgaurangjoshi.com.
Prof. Dr. Bhavna Joshi is an Ayurvedic doctor specializing in oncological diseases. She is a professor at the Indian Institute of Ayurveda Research and Hospital, Rajkot, Gujarat (affiliated with Gujarat Ayurveda University). She is the president of the International Cancer Treatment Association and the director of the Cancer Treatment Research Center. She leads a hospital specializing in Panchakarma and treatment of skin diseases in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. More about the lecturer can be found at www.atharvaayurvedindia.com.
FOR WHOM IS THE COURSE DESIGNED?
The essence and greatest value of the course lie in imparting and providing understandable explanations of proven Ayurvedic principles of beauty care from both inside and outside, as per the millennia-old tradition of Ayurveda.
It is suitable for both men and women interested in beauty, whether for personal use or to complement and expand businesses in the beauty industry.
The course is compiled according to NCISM standards, which reflect the way Ayurveda is taught in India. Therefore, some principles or therapeutic practices may seem "exotic" to European students. However, we have endeavored to adapt the course to align with European hygiene standards as much as possible and to utilize products available in Europe to the maximum extent.
Previous knowledge of Ayurveda is welcomed but not required.
During the course participants will learn:
• History and basic principles of Ayurveda
• Concept of the five elements and three doshas
• Body constitution in Ayurveda
• Digestion and the formation of metabolic toxins and their elimination
• Concept and principles of Ayurvedic skincare
• Ayurvedic facial massage
• Ayurvedic body massage
• Utilization of vital points – marma therapy
• Ayurvedic manicure and pedicure
• Eye and lip care
• Anatomy and structure of hair
• Hair care according to body constitution
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THE COURSE?
In the course, the principles of Ayurvedic skincare, hair care, lip care, eye care, manicure, and pedicure will be explained, and during personal meetings, students will practically learn all the important Ayurvedic therapies and techniques.
You will learn how to treat with Ayurveda various hair issues such as split ends, hair loss, graying of hair, dandruff, alopecia, as well as how to moisturize and cleanse the skin, treat acne, dark circles under the eyes, and how to care for the eyes and lips, among others. Students will also learn several significant Ayurvedic therapies, some of which are not widely known or practiced in Europe.
Upon completion of the study module, students will be equipped with deep knowledge of Ayurvedic beauty and skincare, and will master effective Ayurvedic therapeutic and massage techniques for natural treatment of cosmetic issues. This will enable you to provide incomparable services in the Beauty industry if you so desire.
• Beauty from within – the concept of nutrition – "kitchen pharmacology"
• Skincare nutrition, moisturizing, herbal steaming
• Treatment of acne, dark circles under the eyes
• Treatment of damaged hair
• Treatment of hair loss, alopecia
• Home hair care
• Powder massage of the body
• Shirodhara – pouring medicated oil, herbal decoctions,
milk and rose water on forehead and hair
• Head massages
• Foot massage
• Herbal steaming
• Preparation of cosmetic natural pastes, powders, and oils
CERTIFICATE
The course will be concluded with a professional examination, and upon passing it, students will be issued a certificate. According to the regulations applicable in Slovakia, it is possible to practice Ayurvedic counseling as a freelance activity, for which no certificate is required. However, to perform Ayurvedic massages, one must pass a state examination through accredited courses by the Ministry of Education. Only doctors with appropriate education according to the law on public health care are authorized to treat people. The certificate you receive after completing the course primarily demonstrates the level and quality of education you have attained; it is not a document required for obtaining a license in the field of cosmetic services.
II. Module AyurBeauty Expert February - May 2025
We start with an online meeting on February 4, 2025 (17:00-18:00).
Study materials for home study will be regularly uploaded to Ayurportal, where each participant will receive individual access.
Personal practical workshops will take place on Saturdays (10:00-17:00) and Sundays (08:00-12:00).
Dates for personal two-day workshops:
February 15th - 16th, 2025
March 15th - 16th, 2025
April 12th - 13th, 2025
FINAL EXAMS are optional and consist of two parts:
Part I - optional online test available for completion from May 14th to 18th, 2025.
Part II - project submission (topic determined by the course organizer) due by June 6, 2025.
If a student chooses not to take Part I and II of the final exam, they will receive a certificate of course completion.
If a student successfully completes Part I and II of the final exam, they will receive a certificate of course completion and successful completion of the final exam.
The course concludes with a ceremonial ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2025 (09:00-15:00), where certificates and gifts will be personally awarded.
HOW DOES THE COURSE PROCEEDS & TUITION
The value of the 4-month education: 1090€ (payment methods will be sent in May 2024.)
Location of in-person meetings: Bratislava, Rača - Rínok (exact location will be specified)
The course is 4 months long and opens twice a year from/to:
I. module: September – December (January - final ceremonial ceremony)
II. module: February – May (June - final ceremonial ceremony)

The course concludes with a ceremonial ceremony on Friday, January 17, 2025 (09:00-15:00), where certificates and gifts will be personally awarded.

If you are interested in skincare, body care, beauty from both inside and outside, or if you or someone in your surroundings has dermatological issues, then this course is definitely suitable for you. However, if you are interested in Ayurveda as a comprehensive system, then we would recommend multi-year modules, such as Ayurveda - My Profession by Škola Ajurvédy, for example.

From each personal meeting, there will be an audio recording available, so you will have access to it even if you cannot attend the meetings in person. Along with the recording, you will receive PDF materials covering the topics discussed during that weekend meeting. However, it is certainly advisable to attend the personal meetings as we will be putting theoretical knowledge into practice during those sessions.
